Girl vs. Boy vs. Unisex

Everly. I like this name for a girl but when I looked it up it says it’s a unisex name and some people have said it was originally a boys name. So help me out, do you think Everly is a girls name, a boys name or truly unisex? Thanks!

Definitely girls name. I think a boy would be picked on with a girly name like that!

Everly is a feminine variant of Everley, which is unisex. Everley is derived from an Old-English surname which meant "wild boar wood," which is very interesting to me :)
I second the above poster on the beauty of Everly Caroline, and also suggest:
Everly Alivia (variant of Olivia, which was first used by Shakespeare. It comes from the word "olive")
Everly Margaux (French variant of Margot, which is a short form of Margaret, meaning "pearl")
Everly Maribel (contraction of Maria and Isabel, which come from Mary and Elizabeth. The exact meaning of Mary is uncertain, but one possibility is "wished for child," and Elizabeth means "my God is an oath")
Everly Tamsyn (variant of Tamsin, which is a diminutive form of Thomasina, which comes from Thomas, meaning "twin")

Yes it is unisex and like many unisex names was once male only.
