Baby Name Poll Results
Trying vs. Again?
Hello! Sorry to post again but we’re thinking we may not have described what we are looking for very well. We want a very unique/uncommon name that you rarely hear but we do NOT want a made up name, unisex name, or a misspelled name. We want it to age well and be very girly/ultra feminine/frilly. Hope that helps a bit more than last time! Thank you! ~R&K Wilson
The Top Baby Name is...
Those are all too common
Those aren’t really the unique/uncommonness we are looking for either. Sorry if we seem picky, we know what type of name we want, but we just can’t seem to find it!
Nyla? Mira..or Mila (pronounced me-lah)..I know they’re all similar but I love these names. I’ve only met 2 little girls named Nyla and one of them was named after her grand mother so it’s not a made up name
Nyla kind of reminds us of "nylons" for some reason; we’re not big fans of Mira and we’ve been seeing Mila pop up too much for us to like it anymore
Just brainstorming here....
Are there any examples of the kind of names you are looking for that you can give us to help us understand better?
Amina. Reilly. Sienna. Luciana (Looch-Anna)
We still aren’t falling in love with anything, but we kind of like Callista! Maybe we should look into Biblical names? We know there are some unique names in there
We like Emmeline (though we don’t say it Em-a-leen), Helena, Louisa, and Matilda but they aren’t that unique/uncommonness we want.
We can’t find anything that we could give an example of, we’re really sorry! We just want something that is super, super, SUPER unique/uncommon that no one has ever really used or it rarely has been used. We don’t want any of the old fashioned names that are becoming popular, we like the style but we don’t want to use a name that is becoming common
We like Zipporah but should we be concerned about "Zippy" and "Zipper" jokes? I like Keturah but my husband says it reminds him of "ketchup"
I knew a girl named Andrianna? I don’t know If there is any names left lol.
Andrianna is a bit too heavy on the "an" sounds and looks a bit messy(?) to us
I also like Jade, it’s not all that common, i only know one jade. And another name is Gemma which sounds made up but it’s not..Skyla, SkyLynn, Trina, idk lol
We like Keziah and Zipporah (but still concerned about "Zippy/Zipper")
Jade is too common for us; we don’t want a name that sounds like a common name or anything. (If that makes sense). Skyla & SkyLynn are way too made up sounding for us and we don’t like Trina. Gemma isn’t bad, but we can’t use it because a family member is already planning on using it
A lot of those are still too common sounding to us; we are kind of liking Cornelia but worried about "Corn" jokes
We don’t like the look of Demi. Maybe the word "exotic" would help? We want something that sounds exotic/unique/uncommon?
How about Emmi?
We don’t really like the sounds of Raphaela, Sorcha, or Calliope. We liked Athena, but that is the name of a friend’s daughter
Emmi is getting way too common. We aren’t liking the others. We’re really sorry everyone! :(
I have a terrible connection with the name Kiana/Kianna and we don’t like the sound of Katerina
I don’t see any of the names you have said you like being a problem with people making jokes. However if kids want to make fun they will it doesn’t matter what the name is they will make fun of it.
Samara is growing on us!
I think maybe you should make a list of the names you DO like so far- maybe even the ones you’re worried about the nicknames a bit and ask for oppinions on those and maybe people will be able to offer better suggestions based off the names you like so far if we can see all of them together. If that makes sense.
We would just like to say that we are so, truly sorry and thank you for sticking with us! We really do feel terrible that we are just turning down names when you are all taking your time to help us and answer our poll. Neither of us ever imagined it would be this hard to find a name for our baby. It’s been very frustrating knowing what we want, but not being able to find that name! Thank you all again for sticking with us and taking the time to help us. We are so sorry if we have ever seemed like we are ungrateful, rude, and or unappreciative of your suggestions!
Don’t go with Samara, that name literally scares me ha-ha? Ever see the movie, the ring? Man O Man is that a scary movie. But since you like it you should go for it.
You could try looking into astrology:
There’s Greek Mythology:
That makes a lot of sense, thank you! We have a few names that we like (which is so much more than we were able to come up with on our own) so we will probably do that!
We haven’t seen the movie but thanks for pointing it out! Maybe we will try to look into more Greek Mythology; it definitely has the uniqueness that we want but we aren’t liking any of those specific names
I’d definitely look into the names of Greek goddess’. There’s so many and I bet you could find a real pretty one. Good luck, you’ll find the right name
I personally love Zipporah (for what it’s worth). Don’t worry about how many polls you have to do to find THE name. namegenie limits them to so many per x amount of time but there really isn’t any rules beyond that -you can ask for help as many times as you need beyond that and if anyone gets grumpy with you that’s on them not you.
Those don’t fit what we’re looking for
Maddyn is a boy name which we have specifically said we don’t want.
And thank you! We may post one more tonight with the four names we like the most at the moment!
Ooh! Clio/Cleo is very pretty!
We do like Clio/Cleo but we’re not liking Cliona as much. We also like the sound of Antheia but for some reason, we just can’t commit to it
Alexia is too common and Alexi & Sutton are unisex which we don’t want.
At this point, Clio/Cleo and Keziah are our top 2 names. Thank you all so, so much!!!
Hebe (technically Heh-bay, but Heeb is likely to be the pronounciation gotten most)

Please keep your comments positive and helpful.
Even if you don't like the names. Thanks!
