Lorcan vs. ?

We came across this name recently and really love it. My worry is that it’s a bit too "out there". What did you think? Thank you. More suggestions would be helpful too

Maybe Lochlan for a boy or Larkin for a girl.

I agree with poster #4 for some suggestions

It’s for a boy. Although it’s unusual it is a genuine name so I didn’t realise people wouldn’t have heard of it. We don’t live in the US so people won’t call him Dork-an and if kids want to call another kid names they’ll think of something whatever his name is. I like Lochlan but we’re still leaning towards Lorcan. Thanks everyone.

Lorcan is nice, different without being out there. Don’t get how there is any confusion here, Lorcan isn’t unisex - its a boys name only.

Thanks :) I was surprised too but I suppose this is an American site and that seems to be the fashion there.

Lorcan is OBVIOUSLY a masculine name, very nice one too, use it, don’t worry about the mouth breathers, not all Americans can’t tell a boys name from a girls name
