Yes vs. No

We’re planning on naming our son Jacob, would it be okay to call him Jack as a nickname? We love the name Jack but feel it’s a nickname, and we don’t like Jake. Please comment your opinions, thank you!

you can call them what ever you want - I know a Marc but he is called Duke for one reason or another....
I personal would pair Jack with Jackson.
Or just call him Jacob or Jay...
Jacob Maxwell could have a nn Jax

I like Jack better than Jacob. I think Jake is the only nickname for Jacob. I know plenty of people who are just Jack, that is their full given name. Or John nn. Jack which I also don’t really like. If you’re going to call him Jack, why not just name him Jack (not to be rude)?

I think it works. All the Jacks I know are either just named Jack or their real name is John and they go by Jack.

Good luck!!
