Yes vs. No

Are Esmé and Maysen too close for cousins, since they both have a strong May sound? I am pregnant with a baby girl and she will be born in June. I also have a 2 year old niece that lives with us named Maysen. I have pretty much taken care of her her whole life, with help from my parents. My sister never stepped up to take of her and is in and out of rehab. I love the name Esmé for my daughter, but given that Maysen (who we call May/Maysie) is with me the majority of the time, I think they might be too similar. Am I overthinking this or are they too close for two girls who will be raised pretty much as sisters?

Emma in Western Australia
We have a boy named Tyler James and a girl named Gypsie Jade. Expecting our 3rd, which is a boy. I'm in love with the name Olly, but my partner thinks Gypsie and Olly are unique names and Tyler is not, so it won't feel right. So he wants an ordinary name. Please help with something unique but ordinary.
Baby Name Genie:
In the space between unique and ordinary is a special category of names I think of as "antiques." They are familiar and well-used names that are not widely in use these days. For your son, I give you Oscar Jude - a perfectly ordinary, unique name.
