With Christopher, although it’s a great name, your son’s friends may favor Chris over Kit. Therefore, I will pick Desmond, which is also a great name.

I love Christopher nn kit! It’s so much cuter than Chris. And his friends will call him whatever name he goes by, regardless of whether or not they like the name.
