Both names are great. With Alyssa you there are more nn that goes with it. Aly, Lys, or Lyssa. Do you have a middle name picked out? What does your last name start with?

I prefer Cara as well. Though I like Alyssa and these are both pretty popular, I think Alyssa is a little more dated.

Cara will age better. I don’t like Cara Ashley because it doesn’t flow smoothly. Middle names that start with the same letter as the first names end with don’t make good combinations.
