Fa vs. Suggestions? vs. Help!
My wife is Asian and would like to name our child Fa. The problem is, our last name starts with a Q, and Fa Q. sounds like something else. I’d like for her not to be teased, but this name was passed down and my wife insists we must use it. What do I do? I’m torn. Thanks, Eli

What does it sound like? I don’t see a problem. And I doubt she will ever go by her full first name and last initial any way

Give her a longer first name and then call her Fa around the wife’s family. Felicia? Fiona? Fae/Fay/Faye? Frieda/Farida? Freya?
