Carolina vs. Need Suggestions
My husband and I are having our first baby. It sounds strange but we want our baby girls name to be related to the state North Carolina. I love the name Carolina but I do not want her nn to be Carol. Also, at the same time, is Carolina a pretty name? Do you have any suggestions? One of our family members suggested Charolette

Carolina is perfect. Lina and Carrie are nice nicknames for Carolina. I like the suggestion of Cara, too.

Could always do the last 4 letters... Lina and avoid Carol altogether :) Pronouned Le-na or Lie-na

I am not a fan of Carolina but Caroline is a very cute name for her defiantly I am not a fan of the first name or nn Carol. I think your best bet is Caroline

You could use Lily b/c the state wildflower is the Carolina Lily. Or you could use Emerald b/c it is the state gemstone.
