Novalee vs. Novali

We’re trying to decide between these two spellings. I kind of think the double "e" looks too childish and trendy. What do you think?

In the movie "Where the Heart Is", the name is spelled like Novalee.

I like that spelling best anyway. Novalie would be the only other spelling that looks okay. Novali, Novaleigh, and Novalei look childish and trendy. Good luck!

My favouirite spelling is Novalie, and Novalee comes second.

I like Novalie best too. Novalee would be my second favorite, while Novali looks like it could be pronounced differently, like no-VA-lee.
