Theo vs. and vs. Renzo

I love nicknames that end in "O", and already have a son Theodore, nicknamed Theo. (I even came up with an "o" nickname for my husband! :-) ) With the new baby, we both like the name Lawrence (you may have seen me post about it before) but I keep wanting a nickname that ends in an "o" as well. Is Renzo and Theo cute or weird? I really like two-syllable nicknames, so Lorne, Laz and Ren don’t really flow for me. Lorri sounds too much like Laurie, Lazzie is too much like Lassie, Renni is ok, but I really like Renzo!

The Lawrences I know go by Larry. I don’t think Renzo flows naturally from Lawrence, but I also believe you can give him whatever nickname you like. You might consider using Lorenzo and calling him Renzo or Enzo. GL.

Lorenzo nn Renzo makes sense. I’m not sure Laurence nn Renzo does. But nicknames don’t really have to make sense.

I think Lorenzo would be a better full name for Renzo. I know you didn’t ask, but I like Enzo as a nickname than Renzo. Renzo reminds me of the weird guy from Switched at Birth.
