I think it will stand the test of time better than Madison will and I like that there is no confusion about pronunciation.
It seems like anytime Madeline (or Madeleine) comes up people argue over whether the ending is supposed to be said like lynn or line or something else altogether.The Madelyn spelling avoids all that!
