People will assume it is Emma and it will drive her nuts.

It will get confused as Emma I think it should be a nickname for McKenna or Jenna or Brenna.

I think she would spend her entire life telling people exactly what you just told us twice (Its Enna not Emma) and it will get annoying.

Okay so clearly none of you like the name. I just don’t like Jenna or McKenna or Brenna and Emma is too popular. I thought Enna was a gorgeous name. I’m open for any suggestions now I guess. ~Poster

What do you guys think of Genna? ~Poster

I think Genna is okay. I know one person who spells her name that way. I just find Jenna/Genna to be a bit of a 90’s name. Its not as fresh as it used to be.

So Jenna with a G and you are concerned with popularity?
posted by guest :: 2014-04-27 12:32:34 | report
You just said Jenna is too popular, changing the spelling doesn’t change that her name sounds exactly like Jenna.....

My suggestions for you...

Imogen: it has the Emma sound at the beginning and the gen from Genna at the end, but it’s currently out of the top 1000 names so hopefully no worries about popularity

Enya: Similar to Enna, but it’s a legitimate Irish name :) There’s also Anya.

Etta: A cool twist on Emma/Ella/Enna. I think Etta is gorgeous and she won’t be mistaken for Emma.

Emery: May be too unisex for your liking, but it’s cute

Enna seems more like a nickname than an actual name. I don’t find it particularly attractive.

I like Enna. Also might suggest Nina.
