Séamus & Malachy- Too Irish? vs. Yes vs. No

Are Séamus (shay-mus) & Malachy (mal-uh-kee) TOO irish for living in California? My husband is Irish-American and we plan on going to Ireland to visit, but are our favorite boy names too irish sounding for living in the US? Thanks!

I know someone names Seamus. I believe it is the Irish version of James. Very cool name and perfect for the states.

I don’t think either are "too" Irish. Name your son what you love! Keep in mind he may have to spell out his name often but honestly I love both names. I particularly like Malachy :)
