I wouldn’t say it’s a no no. Some people will make the association, that’s all. It’s not a bad one. Will that bother you, is the question?

I like Hattie and Philippa best! You could use Henrietta, nn Etta!

Yes! Neither my husband or I listen to Etta James, so we’re not big fans naming our daughter after her. We just purely like the name and I’m not sure if I want everyone to ask if it’s after the famous singer.
