Nicolette/Nikolette vs. Or Just Nico/Niko? vs. Middle names?

Hi Everyone! I posted a poll earlier about the name Nico/Niko for my little girl due August 18. I let my finance pick the name and he’s really interested in 60’s pop culture, so he picked Nico, after the German singer and Andy Warhol superstar. I decided we would go for it, but i wasn’t sure if it should just be Nico/Niko or a nickname for Nicolette/Nikolette. If we do name her Nicolette/Nikolette she will always go by Nico/Niko, we just want her to have other options. We need help on the spelling and on middle names too. He likes Blue or Mischa (Mish-ah) but i don’t think it flows well. What do you think? if you have anymore unusual middle names, please tell us. Please comment on what you think of the name in general. Thanks! Brooke and Leo

It’s nice to have a more formal given name to fall back on if she chooses to when she’s older so I say Nicolette nn Nico.

I think that Nika would sound more feminine than Niko. Here are some middle name ideas:

Nico Velvet (The Velvet Underground)
Nico Jane (Baby Jane Holzer)
Nico Violet (Ultra Violet)
Nico Chelsea (Chelsea Girls)
Nico Ingrid (Ingrid Superstar)

I don’t think that you need to use Nicolette, Nico is a really cool name just the way it is.
