Dylan vs. Dilynn vs. Suggestions?

I love the name Dylan for both a boy and a girl. I honestly believe it’s unisex because I can picture it on either even though I don’t typically like unisex names. We have 3 daughters named Cambria, Lacie, and Avia (we also lost a daughter named Clarissa). We are expecting another girl and Dylan is the only name we really love. A friend suggested the spelling Dilynn, to maybe make it a little more girly but I’m not quite sure how I feel about it. Does Dylan go okay with her siblings? Please share some comments on Dylan and also suggest names! Thanks for all your help, we really appreciate it!

Dilynn looks ridiculous. Go with Dillon if you don’t want Dylan.

I’m sorry but with 3 sisters who have such feminine names, Dylan (whatever the spelling) completely looks like their brother. Especially since Dylan is so much more common on boys.

I’ve only known boy Dylan’s. I could see it on a girl though. I would definitely keep the traditional spelling. It isn’t as clearly feminine as your other daughters’ names. Still I don’t think they have to be completely matched. Deanne and Dustalyn are the only similar names I can think of.

If I saw a bunch of sisters where the older ones had girl names and the youngest had a boy name, I’d think that the parents had been trying for a boy and finally just named the last girl their boy name.

Dylan is all boy, it doesn’t work for a girl especially in that sibset..

Though I picture a girl named Dylan it just doesn’t work with your older girls names. Maybe a girly name with a tomboyish nickname may work for you.

I absolutely love the name Dylan for a girl. I do think it sounds really girly. However, I don’t like the spelling Dilynn at all. It just doesn’t look right. I think Dylan looks pretty girly.

So boyish! Would assume a boy always in that sibset, or any sibset for that matter.

How about Dallis? Like the name Dylan but not for a girl.
