Oakley vs. To masculine sounding vs. Just fine for a girl
Is Oakley a good name for a girl? I saw this name on the site and really like it but I’m wondering if its to masculine sounding or if its fine for a girl. Would spelling it Oakleigh work better for a girl? We would pair it with a feminine mn. I personally see it as a girls name but I wanted to get the general publics thoughts.

just don’t like the name period.
I think it sounds a lot better on a boy
I don’t like it for either gender.
I think it’s one of those names that could go either way but I also see it as more of a girls name but if your worried about it being to masculine spell it Oakleigh.
Don’t like the name period.
My daughter was born 5 weeks ago and we named her Oakley Faith! My husband and I loved the name and we have gotten nothing but compliments on her name, people like how "unique" sounding it is but be forewarned, it may become popular in the next few years as people seem to be trying to find uncommon names for their children. I say if you love it go for it!
I really like it!
It’s ok, I’m not a huge fan but its definitely not the worst name out there. I see it as more of a girls name as well.
It is not a good name for either gender. To me it is a brand of sunglasses.
It’s pretty awful, sorry...it doesn’t sound good, and it’s not a name, it’s a sunglass company. If you WERE to use it, it would only sound good for a boy. It’s way too clunky and masculine-sounding for a girl.
I don’t like Oakley, but I definitely think it sounds girly. I don’t think you have to change the spelling to make it girlier.
It reminds me of sunglasses and i dont like the name at all
