Madeleine is prettier. In my experience, no matter what your name is or how it is spelled, it will be mispronounced and misspelled. You may as well go with what you love best and just deal with it.

I tried spelling my daughters as Madalyn to avoid any mispronunciation and it’s CONSTANTLY it’s being spelled wrong and said wrong. Mostly Madelyn but surprisingly Madeline (mad uh line). I wish now I would have gone the traditional route and spelled it Madeleine. It’s so much prettier.
