I only like Jonas but like Jonah more. I don’t think the name has a very good flow. Jonah Cruz sounds better.

Either make it Jonah or spell it Jonas.

Yeah wasnt too sure how to spell it as just heard the name on tv. Jonas does look better thanx. Just looking on another site as I understand its a biblical name but wanted to know what it means..any ideas?? We love the name Cruz too.

It’s a variant of Jonah (which sounds better with Cruz) and it means "dove." Doves are a sign of peace, so you can probably take it to mean that, too.

Jonah was the guy on the ship that "God" chose to sink. Sailors use the name for something that brings bad luck.

Oh ok yeah I do remember Jonah and the whale?? Not up to play on the biblical names lol. Thanks for that..

Yeah the guy with the whale. I don’t exactly follow them, either. However, if you like a name, go for it. I don’t really care about meanings unless someone is trying to use a name that means something relevant to a BOY on a GIRL. I still really like Jonah Cruz. Jonas is just awkward.

Jonas is also in a Weezer song, My Name is Jonas. It mentions the whale.

I like Jonas like this....I think Jonah Cruz is better so that both names don’t end in the same sound
