Baby vs. Nicknames

We don’t know the sex yet but if it’s a girl it will either be Jane (nn JJ) or Joanna (nn JoJo). If it’s a boy it will either be James (nn JJ) or Joseph (nn JoJo?). I like the nickname JoJo for Joseph but wonder if people will consider this a boys name or a girls name. Please help chose the best names and nicknames for our baby. Thank you

I like Joss as a nickname for Joseph.

I have a friend called Joanne, my children call her JoJo. But they are all under 7. I find it a [removed]ildish for a long term nickname. And obviously because my friend is a woman I can’t imagine it on a boy. I prefer JJ for a boy.

i think JoJo can work for a boy, it can always turn into Jo/Joe as he gets older. how about
