Delaney Cara vs. Rowan Elisa

Hi! We are posting again because we didn’t get very much feedback last time and the vote was very close! We love these names! We have found them on here, actually, so thanks to all! We adore Rowan but are worried people see it as masculine. I find it very girly. Do you? We also love Delaney. She’d go by Della or Laney (Della is a nickname to us, it will not be used as a full name.). Thanks in advance! ~Amy and Greg

I love Rowan on both genders, but more so for a boy because of the popular male name Owen.

I prefer the second one to the first one. Cara reminds me the willowy model. No offense. Rowan Elisa is a great combination I think. Rowan could be unisex but you have Elisa for backing up.

Rowan does not sound girly in the least, even though I’ve seen many posts mention using it for a girl name. If you want a girly name, go with Delaney.

I agree that Rowan sounds masculine. I would choose it as a boy’s name.
