Thoughts vs. On vs. Grace?

Hi! I really like the name Grace for our little girl. What do you think? The only problem I have is that it is my middle name and I don’t want people to think that I am naming her after me. Do you think that it will be a problem? Can you suggest some middle names? Thanks!

I’m really sorry to say this but I find it to be boring and generic these’s so overused as a middle name that it’s been ruined as a first name for me. And I do think that people will wonder why you gave her your middle name as her first name if you don’t want to name her after yourself.

Even just changing it a little might help...maybe Gracen?

There is nothing wrong with naming a child after yourself or your spouse - I personally view it as traditional, not narcissistic. My sister in law is giving her daughter her maiden name as a first name.

I think Grace is pretty. And I don’t see any problem with using part of your name for her. It’s a great connection.

Grace is a classic beauty, it ages so well and still maintains a pretty connotation. I really don’t think you can go wrong, and I believe your daughter would love to wear your name and be proud to share where it came from!

I really like Grace as a first name. I think it’s classy, cute, and sophisticated. I do think your family might think she’s named after you, but most people she meets won’t know you’re middle name.
