Weird? vs. Yes vs. No

I have a daughter names Gabriella, we sometimes call her Gabby. We are pregnant with another girl! I’ve always loved the name Abigail. Would it be weird to have Gabby and Abby?

Yes it would be. Trust me, as a Kate with a sister named Kayla it will be infuriating for everyone and that’s not even as close as Gabby and Abby.

Yes it is a bit odd, but if you really love the name Abigail name her that. But don’t nickname her Abby. Gabby and Abigail is fine.

I think Abigail is fine. I don’t see a problem with Abby and Gabby.

Maybe not weird, but definitely annoying!

Little too close. You don’t need to call her Abby, though! You could just call her Abigail, or Iggy, or Gail, or Gigi, or Bibi, or Bee! Any of those would be fine with Gabby. :)

I don’t find it weird. Gabriella and Abigail are lovely together, Gabby and Abby might be a bit rhymey maybe just call her Abigail or a different nickname.

Not weird but I think Abigail would be just fine without a nickname. Gabby and Abigail are cute. Keep Abigail if you love it the most.

Yes, it would be weird. I know a family who named their daughters Elizabeth and Isabella and they call them Lizzy and Izzy. It’s horrible. So confusing. Gabriella and Abigail would be fine together, but those nicknames together are really bad.

This is funny because my name is Abigail (Abbie) and I was considering Gabriella for our daughter but didn’t know because of my name.
