Boy? vs. Girl? vs. Both?

Hello. I have never been sure about the name Dakota, for either a boy or a girl, however it seems to have grown on me and am debating whether to choose it or not. I’m not finding out the sex of the baby so could it be used for both just as much or do you think it sways to either more of a boys or girls name??? Thanks!

For me, it’s a girls name. I don’t know why, I just always felt like it was feminine. I suppose you could use it for both, there are so many names that are considered unisex these days it’s hard to keep up!!

I love Dakota!! I also love the idea of choosing a unisex name and not finding out the gender. Middle name suggestions:
Dakota Corrine
Dakota Candace

Dakota Callum
Dakota Caleb
