Holly vs. Jenna vs. Nicknames
Hi! We are expecting twin girls! We think we really like the names Holly and Jenna. But we’re wondering if we want those to be nicknames or their full first names. Thoughts?

I’d use them as the full names.
I’d use them as first names.
Okay, but if we were to use them as nicknames what full names could we use? Genevieve? Holland?
I would use them as full names as well. Sweet choice!
Personally, I love both these names as is and wouldn’t use them as nicknames for anything. Holly doesn’t have many choices for full names anyway - Holland or maybe Hollis. They aren’t too cutesy to use by themselves so a full name seems unnecessary.
Jennifer seems most logical for Jenna. Can’t think of anything really for Holly.
Jennifer, genevieve, jenelle, jeanette, hollis holland holloway
I like them better a nns but I seam to be the exception here. Probably because I LOVE the full names for Jenna and also love nicknames ;).
Jennette/Jeanette (they are pronounced the same in case you didn’t know-- jen-net)
Jennifer (it’s okay)
Holly is harder. I don’t think it’s really short for anything. Just a flower name like Daisy, Lily, or Jasmine. I think Hollisa is pretty though. ;). Good luck!
They are both perfectly fine as first name and are not like nicknames.
I like them just the way they are as given names.
I don’t really know of holly being a nickname for anything. I think Jenna and Holly are very cute without being nicknames. Both are typically underused and I like that as well.
Holly and Jenna, as they are.
I love the name Holly and Jenna (both are on our girl list!). I think they sound great just as they are.
While Holly and Jenna aren’t my favourite names, I think they’re perfectly fine on their own - they don’t need longer names, especially since you’ll be calling them Holly and Jenna anyway.

Even if you don't like the names. Thanks!
