I’m trying to decide on spelling of a boy’s name. It is to be pronounced "AH-dee" and I would like a spelling that people pronounce correctly simply by reading the name. CLARIFICATION: It’s pronounced "AW-dee". I can see now how "AH" could be interpreted incorrectly.

Audie Cornish on NPR pronounces it Aw-dee. So that spelling would work. Though I think they both work to get that pronunciation.

I think the name sounds girly, I would choose the most masculine spelling possible, which between the two, would be Audey, in my opinion. But Audy might be your best option with this name.
