It’s not feminine in the slightest. Avery is very manly and means "ruler of the elves".

It’s pretty popular for girls. I wouldn’t use it.

I think of Avery as a very girly name, and I love it for a girl, but if you like it so much, use it.

The only Avery I’ve ever known is a good friend of mine, and he’s a he. I can’t picture this name on a girl--it’s all boy. Definitely go for it!

love it! who cares if its feminine? I don’t understand what the issue is with that?

It’s technically a boys name so I wouldn’t worry if some poor girls are stuck with that moniker, it doesn’t change the fact that it’s a boys name.

Avery is like Ashley, it’s so used by girls now that a boy would get made fun of for it. Listen to your husband, men know what kind of names a boy would get teased for.

It was originally a boys name and I don’t think there is anything feminine about it at all. There is also Aven as an alternative. GL

I love Avery! I like it better on a girl. And... Poster 1, I think the meaning sounds feminine.
When I think of "ruler of the elves", I think of a tall girl with long, thick hair holding a staff in her hand commanding a bunch of happy little elves.
It is usable for a boy. It was originally a boy name befor it became unisex.

If I heard the name Avery, I would assume it was a girl. I don’t think it’s too feminine that you couldn’t use it, maybe as a middle name, but I also think there’s a chance he might hate his name because so many girl’s have it.

Its very masculine to me, certainly usable for a boy.

Before I ever met an Avery, I assumed feminine. I have still never met a male Avery but now know five girls with the name Avery.
