Baby Name Poll Results
Claire - Yes vs. Claire - No
My husband owns a bakery, and I thought it would be cute if we made a subtle nod to that fact by naming our first baby, a girl, Claire (like eclair). But do you think it’s subtle enough? We don’t want it to be glaringly obvious. If you have any other ideas we would greatly appreciate that. Middle names would also be appreciated if you do like Claire, we would prefer something nature-y.

I like Claire. It’s a cute idea.
Definitely obvious. The connection is pretty blatant. Claire is cute, but the real question is if it’s "cheesy" nod to the bakery?
I’m really loving Claire Meadow. Thank you!
It’s not actually that obvious...at all. Claire Summer is very pretty!
That’s a really cute idea! :) And yes I think it’s subtle enough.
Cliph (instead of Cliff a boy name)
Try flipping through bird, flower, tree or other nature books. Search there for names. Also try looking in an atlas for park names (ie Mount Rainier. Rainier and Reinier are both boy names). Try being more vague with that atlas: Dakota, Alberta, Virginia, Tennessee, Jordan. Lastly try taking a walk in nature noting what you hear, see, smell, and feel. Any make good names. Remember that you can make your own name up by changing, removing, adding letters, or adding a traditional name ending (is, a, ly, ette, is, etc.).
Hope that helps and good luck.
I don’t think anybody would make the connection if you didn’t tell us.
I love the name Claire, and think it’s super cute and not at all obvious. I wouldn’t have even made the connection until you said something.
Claire Ember is also very pretty. Thank you!
What about Claire Magnolia?
