Colton (boy) vs. Colette (girl)

Our first baby is due January 1st! I’m so excited!! I love the name Colton for a boy and Colette for a girl but they’re very similar so when we have other children we don’t want to use the name we didn’t use. Should we name our son Colton or should we find another name? If we have a daughter should we name her Colette or find another name. Which do you prefer, Colton or Colette? Please suggest names too! Jessica

I like Colton best, but both are good names.

Love Colette- so beautiful! My friend had a horse named Colton, so I wouldn’t go for it (I’m biased) but it’s a great name as well!

I love Colton! Colette is pretty, but they’re plenty of other prettier girls names! Also, I think Colton and Colette sounds like a cute brother sister name, even if you do have other children :)

If you like Charlotte I would go with Colton because they’re both C names but don’t sound really similar.

You could do Cosette for a girl, or Charles for a boy. I’m not a huge fan of Colton. I think it sounds slightly made-up. But Colette is quite nice. Good luck!

I love Colette! Colton sounds very ordinary and nothing special. You might like Corbin or Cormac!

I don’t like Colette at all, and while I’m not a big fan of Colton, I think it’s much better than Colette. That being said, I think you should just name this baby first and not worry about other, possible children. If you have a boy, name him Colton (if you have a girl, name her Colette), and then when you have other kids, I’m sure you’ll have other names you like.
