What name would you pick vs. Could I use jake vs. Help me Please

I’m having my first child. My sister has three boys named James, Jack and Jimmy. I personally love the name Jake but I think that would be too many J’s in the family since my name is Jenna and my sister’s is Jane. Help me please

I know a family of pretty much all J’s: Jean, "Joe", Jessica, "Joey" Jr. and then..."Charlie". They also have cousins and Aunts that begin with J. I think it’s a little weird. However, I think it’s fine if you want to use a J name for your son. You don’t have to keep up with your sister (and seemingly your parents). Don’t exclude a name you like for that reason. I must say, though, Jake is awfully close to Jack.

You sister has a James and Jimmy?
You could use Jake/Jacob/Jacoby as a middle name. If you use Jacoby, you could call him Coby or Oby.

I like Jacoby, but if you use the nn Oby, be prepared for Star Wars teasing

My cousins name is Bodhi (Bo-Dee, 2 1/2) and I’m his nanny. His parents didn’t want him to have a nickname or anyone to call him B. However, I switched some letters around and now he is my little "Obi" and I love it.

I think Jake is a bit close to Jack also.. maybe as a middle name.. or what about Blake or Drake?

Jake and Jack are really close. What about something completely different like:
Parker
Chase
Harris
Preston
Sam

If your sister has two boys named James and Jimmy, I doubt it matters that Jack and Jake are nominally (ha)! similar.

Ha, PP. I get your point. That’s a little weird.

Jacob is actually a variant of James so... you’re kind of on the edge of every name she has.

How about...
Joaquin?

there are already a lot of J’s, what’s the harm of one more? I’d use it...I really like it! GL!
