Her nickname would be Cathy or Cate, or Catie. All so boring, and well...boring. This name is not that great at all. I say, start over. GL.

Catherine is gorgeous and timeless. I do prefer the spelling Katherine. There’s lots of lovely nickname options too. Kitty is my favourite.

While it is indeed beautiful and timeless, it has enjoyed a huge resurgence in popularity in recent years. That tends tomake even the nicest names a little boring, sadly.

I love it. Do prefer Katherine though. 2 reasons - my favorite nickname is Kate and that spelling follows more from the K, and also the spelling Catherine has always reminded me visually of "catheter" whereas the K does not.

It’s not boring, but overused. I would try an alternative, Katrina, Katelyn, or just Kay.

I think it’s so pretty and classic. I don’t know if I would personally use it as a first name because it is kind of common, but I do think it’s beautiful.
