Its very nice. I like it much more than Frances. Nick name Franny or Frankie is cute too.

The problem I have with it is that no matter which pronunciation of it you choose, about half the people who say your name are going to guess to other one. I prefer the plainer Frances because everyone guesses right about how to say that. Besides which, Francesca often sounds funny if you have a really un-Francesca-like surname. Francesca Boggs, for example.

I love Francesca because I have French blood, but people say it’s too exotic and I try to avoid it because who usually has an exotic name? And I adore the nickname Frances!
