Cayla vs. Kayla

I LOVE this name. I am not usually a fan of alternate spellings but mine and my mom’s name both start with a C so I was wondering, does Cayla look horrible? Will I be able to find monogrammed things with the C spelling or should I just stick with Kayla? Will Cayla even be pronounced the same way? Please help! Thank you!

Cayla looks more elegant to me and the unique spelling gives it a fresh look. Very easy to pronounce

My name is Kayla and I perfer Kayla. Also I always hated Kayla because its so boring. Reminds me of Carla. I like Kaylee. I’m not hating the name, its my name just advice as a Kayla.

I like Cayla. Calla is also a pretty alternative, but pronounced differently like the flower

Kayla. And I also agree it could be a little boring.

I wouldn’t worry about monogramming. You can easily special order things to say just about anything nowadays.

I like the spelling of Cayla! She will probably have her name misspelled a lot by others, but I grew up with that too (and still deal with it), but it never really bothered me that much.

Thank you everyone! I just can’t decide, my name is Cortney, without the U and everyone, even to this day still puts the U in it, even if they’ve known me my whole life and it used to bother me but not so much anymore. I just don’t know if I want to put my daughter through that or not. I definitely like Kayla/Cayla better than any of the other alternatives mentioned. Thank you again everyone!

Kayla looks so much better and it’s how everyone will assume it’s spelled. Cayla just looks odd, and no, you won’t be able to find this name, with that spelling, on printed things.
