Mae is darling. You’ve already gotten loads of great suggestions. How about:
Mae Clementine
Mae Elizabeth
Mae Rosalind
Mae Evangeline
Mae Celeste / Celestine
Mae Isabelle
Mae Susannah
Mae Adeline / Adelaide
Mae Charlotte / Caroline / Carlotta
Mae Alice
Mae Thomasina
Mae Elizabeth / Eliza / Elspeth
Mae Beatrix
Mae Cathleen / Catherine / Katrina
Mae Fiona
Mae Patricia
Mae Gwendolen
Mae Annabel
Mae Frances
Mae Eloïse
Mae Georgina
Mae Wilhelmina
Mae Timothea (any Timothys to honor?)
Mae Althea
Mae Callista (= the most beautiful Mae)
Mae Winifred
Mae Diana
Mae Henrietta
Mae Angelica
Mae Juliet
Mae Valentine
Mae Evelyn / Evelina
Mae Lucinda
Mae Abigail
Mae Josephine
Mae Amelia
Mae Carys / Kerenza (= beloved)
Mae Emmeline
Mae Arabella
Mae Theresa
Mae Imogen
Mae Eleanor / Elinor / Eleanora
Mae Christine / Christiane
Mae Violetta
Mae Augustine
Mae Christabel
The ones that work the best to my ears throw the stress out to the final syllable, as in Mae Celestine. Also, I would avoid anything too floral since it starts to sound more like a phrase than a name, e.g., April showers bring May flowers. Yes, Mae Violetta goes against this advice. Sue me. Good luck! :0)
