Thank you Lovelies! We like that spelling as well it’s just we have a cousin on each side with Lena in their name and they pronounce it like Lee-na. We didn’t want the confusion. Are we overthinking it? Our least favorite way to spell it is Marlaina with the double A for some reason. Other than that we are open.

Could we use possibly two of our three top names?

Oh I LOVE the name Marina!! But it’s too close to my name. I’d feel funny ultimately. It’d been added and scratched off our list so many times before my SO actually made me pretend introduce myself and our baby aka cat lol

Alethea and Araminta are both gorgeous. Marleina is ok but I prefer your original choices. If you do go with Marlena I would definitely use this spelling and I wouldn’t worry about your cousins named Lena.

Araminta Marleine (without the ’a’) is lovely and would be my choice. I am not keen on both ending with the same’a’ sound.

If it’s between Araminta Marlena and Araminta Marleine, I’d lean toward Araminta Marleine. They’re both really pretty but the second one flows better.

Araminta has always been a guilty pleasure name of mine. So it’s nice to answer a poll for someone who is really considering it.

I don’t care for Marleina but I adore Mara. Mara just as is, is beautiful.

Mara Araminta is cute.

Marleina just doesn’t seem that pretty to me. The "leina" part is gorgeous, but the "Mar" part just turns me off of the name.
