Neither one do it for me since a gage is a tool for measuring and Cain (Kane) was not a good person in the bible and may get teased. Do you have any other options?

this is just for the middle name...i should have said that. First name is Alexander so it won’t be used everyday. It needs to be a short name...these are the 2 I like. Any other suggestions?

Kane. I think it sounds cooler because both have funny meaning in everyday life.
I prefer Gage. Kane has negative (Cain) associations.

Kane makes me think of an old man with a cane....and gage is another object so I’m not too fond of it either.
