Definitely Marley! I think it’s perfectly feminine the way it is! It’s never seemed masculine to me anyway, so I don’t think it warrants changing the spelling. Spelling it Marleigh doesn’t make it more feminine; to be blunt, it makes it look tackeigh and trendeigh. Marley looks much more polished and sophisticated to me. Good luck!

Spelling it Marleigh isn’t girly.... Go with Marley.

Make your daughter’s life easier and spell it Marley. Marleigh just looks stupid and would give your daughter a lifetime of headaches from having to spell it out for everyone.

I put "girly" in quotations for a reason poster 1 & 2. People such as our family suggested "Marleigh" because they said it was more feminine and well... Girly. So, I just wanted to be clear on that.

The thing is, if I use Marleigh, she’ll either hate me for it, or love me because I made her name different from the rest of the Marleys. Maybe if anything, she’ll grow to like it. You never know.

None the less, I see everyone’s point, and I do believe that Marley would age better and look better on a professional level. I preferred it to begin with, I just wanted the public’s view on it, and to to prove a point to my husband because he preferred "Marleigh". He is afraid that people are going to compare her name to "Marley and Me". Which in a way I can understand, but then again this is life, not a movie. I honestly don’t think that "Marleigh" looks "stupid" or would cause my daughter a "lifetime of headaches" though. I’ve never known someone with a differently spelled name to hate their name as much as people think they hate their name. But, you know... People have different experiences.

Anyways, thank you all for you comments and help, and hopefully I’ll get my husband to let me spell it my way... The original way.
