2 names with same letter, 1 not vs. I’d say it’s okay vs. Id use another with the same letter

We are expecting our 2nd (my husband’s 3rd) child in April and we have a question. My husband’s daughter’s name is Aundrea Noelle (10) and out daughter’s name is Alyssa Renae (15 months). Our families are saying we should use another A name, which there are a couple we like, but we have other names we really like too, so our question is should we be limited to just an A name or world it be okay to use a name that doesn’t start with A? This is for sure our last child as I’ll be getting my tubes tied afterwards. I will post a list of the names we like in the comments. Thanks for your help!

I think it’s totally up to the two of you to decide to keep the "A" theme going.

I do like most of your names on the lists you provided. My top choices if you do stay with the "A" theme are:
Asher and Aubrey

Asher Blake
Aubrey Grace

Good luck in your naming endeavors!

I’d go with the name you love most. Pattern does not matter.

My siblings and I have two of the same letter, one not. I don’t remember ever receiving any comments or questions about it or really noticing it myself growing up either. I’m not the one with the "odd letter out," though, so I don’t know if that ever bothered my brother. If so, he never said so.

My brothers kids- Avery, Addison, Greyson. None if us even thought to question not keeping a theme. Choose a name you love. He or she will be going to kindergarten without his sisters, applying to college without his sisters, etc.

You don’t have to keep the theme going. Your children won’t care. Choose the name you like best, if it happens to be an A name, great!

I think that it’s really ok either way. Since this is definitely your last child, then I think it would be kinda cool to have all three have A names. If you were planning on having more kids, my answer would have been, don’t keep the theme. How many Great A names are their?
Really, with your last child I think you can go either way. If you are worried that he/she will feel left out for being the only one without an A name, I honestly don’t think that would happen. But if u really are still worried about that, then I would say: Boy- either way (with a name= u keep the theme, no a= you tell him it’s the "girl theme" in your family.
Girl- keep the a theme if your worried about her feeling left out.

It really is your choice in the end, though.

I have 3 children, two begin with ’L’, and one with ’A’. I didn’t think anything of it when naming them, just picked names I liked, but my ’A’ child noticed and has asked why her name doesn’t start with ’L’, too. fyi

For a boy, I wouldn’t use an A name. For a girl, I probably would. Suggestions:
Audrey
Amabel
Amity
Amelia
Amelie
Annabeth
Angela

From your lists I like: Shane, Caleb and Landon. Also Grace, Hannah, Lydia, Adelyn (prefer Ada, Adele, Adella, Adelaide!)
