J Wyatt vs. J Wyatt vs. J Wyatt

My grandpa has helped raise me so my son on the way I would like to name after him. I thought about Charlee after mine and my husbands grandpa’s but it seems girly so that’s out. I don’t Charlie is girly, but I like Wyatt and J names also.

I don’t think Charlie is girly, neither is Charles of course.
Charlie Wyatt is a nice name, as is Charles Wyatt.
If his name is Charlie why is his initial J or is Charlie just a nickname ?
