Roberta McKenna vs. Bridget Elise vs. Elisabeth Rosetta

I posted a poll a couple weeks ago about the name Birdie. We don’t think it would wear well as a first name, but a cute nickname. We are still discussing what it should be short for... AND we added another name (we previously decided NOT to use) into the mix! I am curious. I also have a son, Gabriel. At school and by peers, as well as at home, he is called Gabe. Would "Birdie" be okay to be used at school or in introductions? "These are my children, Gabe and Birdie." What do you think?

The Top Baby Name is...

Roberta McKenna

12%

Bridget Elise

59%

Elisabeth Rosetta

29%

I voted for Roberta, but I would NOT use McKenna. The prefix Mc means son, and McKenna means son of Kenneth (obviously a falsehood in your situation).

I love Bridget!
But I also think Birdie is adorable.I see no problem in introducing them by the nicknames. If anyone should question it further I would simply say something like "yes, their full names are Gabriel and Bridget but they like to go by Gabe and Birdie"

I particularly don’t like Bridget. Or Roberta. Elisabeth Rosetta is beautiful.

Who cares about the meaning of McKenna? I mean seriously relax. My issue with McKenna is that it doesn’t sound well with Roberta.

I like Bridget Elise.

I think Birdie is cute but it won’t age well at all.

Good luck!
