The Courtneys I know are all fairly average, not especially intelligent or beautiful, and borderline annoying. Those are just the ones I personally know, though.

Courtney is 80’s to me, I don’t dislike it but it’s not a favorite.

Courtney is a nice name. I know a few personally and they are all very different. I don’t think a name gives someone traits or their personality so to say all Cournteys are this way or that way is just crazy. I think it’s a nice name. It’s modern, not highly popular, at least were I am from. It’s not "made up" or tacky. It’s a name that will age well and can be used in any profession. It’s cute on a little girl but can be taken seriously as an adult (unlike names like Braylyn, Jayden, etc) If you both love the name there isn’t any reason why you shluldn’t use it.
