Elizabeth Ann vs. turned in to vs. Bethann

I have had a very dear friend for many years now named Elizabeth Ann. I want to honor her in my daughter’s middle name but I’m not a big fan of Elizabeth or Ann by its self so I have been playing with different ideas and one I thought of was Bethann. What do you think? I know there are many nicknames for Elizabeth and in fact my friend went by Libby all the way through school together so I have also been looking at that too so if you don’t like Bethann please let me know what your favorite nickname for Elizabeth is. Her first name will either be Ayla or Delilah. Thank you so much!

My MILs name is Beth Ann and my cousin’s name is Elizabeth Anne and they call her Beth Anne. I think Bethann would be cute for a mn. I like the way that you are spelling it especially since you are using it for a mn.

I prefer Bethany but I do like Bethann.

Bethann could work. I feel like it sounds better as a middle name for Ayla, while Bethany sounds better as a middle name for Delilah.
Ayla Bethann
Delilah Bethany

Nice way to honor your friend.

I also prefer Bethany. Ayla Bethany or Deilah Bethany is adorable. As far as Libby goes, Ayla Libby would be cute or Ayla Liberty.

You could shorten it considerably and use Bea. Ayla Bea or Delilah Bea would be fun and sassy.

Agree that Bea is a cute nn for Elizabeth. My favorite nn for Elizabeth is Lia (lee-uh). I also knew someone who’s name was Elizabeth, but nn was Thea.

That said, I agree with Ayla Bea. Or Delilah Thea, or Delilah Beth, or Ayla Beth.

My favorite nicknames for Elizabeth are Eliza and Betsy. I prefer Bethany to Bethann. Ayla Bethany or Delilah Bethany. Or even Annabeth!
