If this is for a boy then I prefer Sky, but if it’s for a girl then I think Skye is a bit more feminine.

I must admit that when I first saw the post I assumed this was for a boy. Of the two I think Skye is better for a girl.

I knew it was for a girl so I’m not sure where their confusion comes from.. I prefer Skye McKenzie, but definitely Skye.

I assumed she was a she and was right! :-) I know it was once upon a time a boy name, but I’ve personally never heard of or knew of a boy named Mackenzie. It’s all girl to me. Anyway, that aside, I also like the Skye spelling best. Does look more girly! :-)

Both names are unisex, so I get the confusion. I prefer Skye, and I also like the above poster’s suggestion of the spelling McKenzie! It looks more feminine in my opinion.

Thanks everyone. We chose the Mackenzie spelling because she’s being named after a close friend, so we kept our friend’s original spelling. Thanks anyway! I think I see what you mean about Skye being a bit more girly.

Skye Mackenzie is beautiful, but if Skye looks bad with your surname, then call her Sky.
