I don’t like Macon. It looks like misspelled Mason and also bacon and sounds like it would be "Makin’."

Macon isnt bad but I would use it in the middle..Just not on my list of Favorites.
If you want a place name how about Dayton or Dakota, and there is always Raleigh, Reed or Reese are also Georgia towns.

I don’t care for either name, sorry. I like Edmund a lot more than Edward. I also prefer Mason to Macon...Macon’s nn would be Make? Or May? Connie? There just isn’t a good choice, plus it does sound like makin.
I would reconsider, sorry.

Macon is a NO GO HERE. Sounds weird, misspelled, definitly sounds much better as Mason.
