Lila ("Lil") Janet vs. ?????? ????????
PLEASE RESPOND!!! Hi everyone! We posted on here earlier today trying to decide on a name for our daughter. We think we’ve decided on Lila Janet after both of her grandmothers, but we’d still appreciate more feedback The one possible point of confusion is that one of out daughter’s paternal grandmother also goes by Lila Breen (although Lila is her middle name...and she also lives in a different province which means we only see her two or three times per year). To minimize confusion, we’re thinking of calling our daughter Lil. Do you like this name? Do you think Lil is a cute nick name? Do you think naming our little girl Lila Janet is going to be too confusing and we shuld go back to the drawing board?

I agree, Lillian is cute. I like Lily as a nn better than Lil. Or you name her Lila-Jane (variation of Janet) and call her Lila-Jane to make it less confusing.

Lil is a super cute nick name but i wouldnt choose this as just the name,
Lila, Lillian, Lily, & Liliana are just some variants which include the Lil..

I would go with Lillian Janet or Lilliana Janet and the nn Lily. i not a huge fan of Lil

I love Lila..it’s a great name. Lila Janet sounds great and it honors people you love. Since you only see the other grandma a few times a year, it doesn’t seem like that big of a problem. I would go with Lila Janet. GL!

I don’t like Lil at all...Lillian is really nice though and the nn Lily is much cuter than Lil, and if she wanted to be called Lil when older to get away from Lily, which doesn’t seems to age well, she can, but since you don’t see her much, it wouldn’t be a big deal for her to go by Lila at all...one of my uncles and brothers have the same name, but when we were young, we’d only visit the uncle 3-4 times a year, and there were never issues with them having the same name
