Morgan vs. Name
Hey. This is Kayte I wanted to name my little girl Morgyn Elyse. With a Y instead of an A, but someone told me that I was naming my baby after the gyn. Her last 3 letters being gyn. I don’t know if I should just choose another name because I don’t like it with an A. WDYT? Thanks Kayte.

Morgyn Elyse looks way made up. Morgyn will get miss pronounced and looks stupid. Same with Elyse, IMO.

I dont really like the spelling of Morgyn... i dont see it aging well... but I think your spelling of Elyse is cute, and creative spellings of the middle name are better since your daughter can use her middle name, just an initial, or not at all when she is older.

I don’t think that Morgyn really works as a spelling. If you don’t like the Morgan spelling then it might be your best bet to look for another fn. I do like Elyse, in spelling and as a name.

The middle name is not too bad although I prefer the normal spelling, but Morgyn just does not look right at all. It does make me think of gyno. If you don’t like the spelling, I would go with a different name that naturally has a Y in it.
