Julia, Alexis, and Lauren vs. Juliana (Julia), Alexandra (Alex), and Lillian (Lily) vs. Jenna, Annabelle, and Leah

4 years ago, my husband and I lost our baby boy because of complications at birth. It was the worst and most horrible thing that has ever happened to us, but we just found out that we are pregnant with triplet girls! We can’t believe it! Our little boy’s name was Jacob Alexander, so we wold like to name our girls after him along with my late mother Laurie. We have some ideas, but we still aren’t sure. We also need middle names. What do you guys think? Thanks so much!

I’m sorry about your little boy, but I would suggest honoring him simply by giving the initials JA to one of your daughters. Even though you’re changing the sex of the name, I have a friend who says she was named after a sister who died and she says it’s awful for her bc she feels like she has to live up to what her sister could have been and she doesn’t feel she has as much individuality.

I am so sorry for your loss, and what a lovely way to honor your little boy. I don’t think you have to worry about your daughters feeling like they have to "live up" to their names, because they are girls and were named after a boy...Anyway, I love Jacinda nn Jacie, Alexis nn Lexi, and Lauren. Good luck!

Or, you can give them all combos of the initials J, A, and L

Julia Anne, Ashley Lynne, and Lia Jessica

Good luck!

Thanks so much for the suggest. We thought about your suggestion and we thought about:
Madison Juliana (after Jacob)
Emily Alexandra (after Alexander)
Lauren Isabella (after Laurie)
What do you guys think? Madison, Emily, and Lauren?

But also, the problem is that we love the combo Julia, Alexis, and Lauren. And we love the names Leah, Jenna, and Annabelle (or Anna)...HELP!

What about changing Alexandria even more, to Alessandra?

Madison Juliana
Emily Alessandra
Lauren Isabella

I think that Sasha (which is a nn for Alexander and Alexandra) would be a perfect compromise.

What about
Sasha Juliana
Emily Madison
Lauren Isabella

Sasha, Emily and Lauren- so cute!!

Julia, Alexis, and Lauren. I don’t think nns are needed. These are lovely enough on their own.
