Baby Name Poll Results
James Anthony Dean vs. Anthony vs. Dean
We were 99% set on the name James Anthony Dean for our son (two middle names). A family member emailed us saying that there is now a celebrity baby girl named James. My husband’s name is Ashley, which he hates, so he is very much against any name which my son has to share with a girl (I don’t mean to offend anyone who uses unisex names, I do quite like them by the hubby is strictly against them for our son). Do you think there will a rise in the number of girls named James? If you think there will be, would you prefer Anthony or Dean for his first name? We would very much love to use James as his first name, but we would happily switch to one of the other names if he James becomes popular on girls. Thanks! ~Amy

James is such a traditional, classic boys’ name that I doubt very much that it will become popular for girls just because a celebrity couple used it (at least, I hope not!). James Anthony Dean is a very handsome, masculine choice.

Don’t let what a silly celebrity couple named their baby deter you. James is a classic, masculine name. I can guarantee that your son will not be teased for having such a handsome name as James Anthony Dean.

Yeah. I think there’s some contract celebrities sign when they become famous that they have to name their children the most ridiculous name they can think of. I am female and have what was a traditionally male name. I do like it but it’s easier to be a female with a male name than vice versa.
And James will always be a male name. He will be very blessed. If you do decide on another name, Dean is a great name too. GL.
