Heidi Lynn vs. Heidi Something floral

Do twin girl names have to be sort of similar. Like we love Annaleah rose and Heidi Lynn. Annaleah rose because it sounds nice and heidi because we like it and Lynn for a best friend who past away. What I am wondering is if it better to make maybe the middle name for Heidi something plant or floral like so it more like a twin girl name. Lynn means something so should I go with that even though the names would be different or will it be cuter to go with a floral name. I would like some suggestions for floral middle name for Heidi. Thank you

First, I adore Annleah Rose. It’s so pretty. I dislike Heidi, Lynn b/c it has meaning to you is great.
With that said, I don’t think they have to be matchy in order to be twin names. If you like both names, use them.

Plant or floral like because Annaleah rose middle name is floral, so should Heidi also have a floral middle name.

No, they don’t have to be similar at all. It sounds like you have great reasons for choosing Annaleah Rose and Heidi Lynn so I’d go with that.

Just in case you want to switch to a floral middle name:

Not floral but Heidi Lynnae would be pretty to still honor your friend yet a little closer in style to her sister’s name.

Twin names do not have to be similar. In fact, it is one of my ULTIMATE pet peeves that anyone would have the nerve to give twins matchy names!!!!! As a twin myself, I know how hard it is for twins to make a name for themselves as individuals, because everyone just automatically thinks of you as a set and sticks by that. Matchy names encourage people to think that way, and makes them think that they SHOULD feel that way! It makes me really sad that it never crosses some parents’ minds that matchy names are only a burden for their children. It makes me want to scream, pound the wall, and barf all my insides out. I know that sounds immature, but I can’t help it. Children are stuck with their names for THEIR WHOLE LIVES! Here is a suggestion for all you parents: whenever someone wants to give their twins matchy names, PLEASE dissuade that decision and help them see some sense!

Go for Heidi Lynn as it means something. However, I’m not a big fan of Annaleah. What about Anneleise or Annabelle?

Annaleah and Heidi is like the only names we can agree on. And Annaleah being the one we have agreed on the longest. I also like briget but he is not crazy about it. He like Rebecca and I am not crazy about it. The rest of the name either one of us hates. - poster
